Yureka ID entity Wiki

Jang-Gun is the main protagonist of the series. He is the leader of the legendary antihero team, Team Triple Threat, composed of himself and his two closest friends, Ah-Dol, and Boromir. He is intelligent enough to manipulate most people, and has even caused AIs to doubt their own existences. His intelligence is arguably his most valuable tool in battle.

After encountering Yureka, he develops an obsessive interest into her AI nature and eventually decides to find things out on his own. He has since been conducting a personal investigation into the secret of the Artificial Intelligence characters of Last Saga.

At first it seems like Roto is uninterested in girls. It's implied that he actually prefers older women as seen by his attempts to flirt with Piri and his reactions around Yureka and Jae-Ha. Over time he has come to fall in love with both Jae-Ha and Yureka, but is unable to choose between them.

He frequently uses Yureka's ID card to change his identity as her.

Personality[]

He has a Napoleon Complex and loses all control, immediately attacking anyone who calls him "short," "little boy," and so on.

He is an honor student named Jang-Gun offline, but online in Lost Saga, he refers himself as Roto, cutting all ties with his real life persona. Because of this stark contrast in his online and offline personalities, even he admits he is not sure which of the two is his real personality, but doesn't care as long as he's having fun. He becomes obsessed with his AI companion, Yureka (and Jae-Ha by extension), after learning about her.

When in the real world, he is Jang-Gun: a quiet ace student at school who is secretly obsessed with the online game, Lost Saga. Despite never really studying, he is able to maintain an A+ average, indicating how smart he naturally is. He is a bit moody, but is generally considered a nice person, popular with the girls in his class, and an excellent student that's always studying, even on the way to school. This is all a façade as he has no interest in the girls who approach him, seeing them as annoyances, and despite his good grades, only gives the image of being a study-freak even though he is exhausted the night before from gaming all-night.

Online, he is referred to only as Roto. He is an abrasive and brash, sometimes wicked, character. Because of his antagonistic behavior to other players, even his own friends, he is infamous among the players. He is one of the rare Master class players, the strongest players in the game. Roto is initially manipulative and swindling, though set on his goals. This is just because he knows it's a game. However, when real people are involved, he can be selfless, putting himself on the line to protect others.

He has a fear of horses, seen reacting negatively around Aradon's horse.

Synopsis[]

History[]

Myriah's Trauma[]

Roto, Ah-Dol, and Boromir apparently did something unforgivable, but because it was so long ago, everyone forgot what it was. The only thing that they remember was it was bad enough for Myriah to hold a grudge and for Triple Threat to fear the very sight of her, calling her "Medusa" instead of her name.

Blackmailing The Lovely Angels[]

Caught

Newbie K.C. and Julie caught stealing.

A year before the series begins, Triple Threat were on the hunt for a criminal named Dreymon. While his strength was nothing special, he was very good at keeping hidden. At the time, newbie players Julie and K.C. attempted to steal from them, but were caught. Boromir and Roto threaten to take them to jail, since stealing is a crime in the game, just like the real world. Ah-Dol, however, recognizes them as the pop idols, The Lovely Angels. The girls admit this, acting cute and hoping an autograph will get the to let them go. Immediately sensing a golden opportunity, Roto is interested in the fact they are The Lovely Angels and Boromir adds they have no use for an autograph. The group evilly blesses their fortune as the girls hold each other in fear of them. The team opens a stand outside of town to exploit them. Boromir advertises as loudly as he can that players can have the chance to kiss for 100 Gold, hug for 150 Gold or both for 230 Gold. Ah-Dol is apprehensive, but goes along with it as Roto collects the fees and has players sign a non-disclosure contract. Overenthusiastic (and even gross) fans line up to kiss and hug them, despite K.C. and Julie's objections.

Sick of it, they tell Roto they'd rather go to jail after all. Roto points out if they did, the publicity of their thefts would cause a scandal. K.C. cries as she went through a lot of trouble to be a singer while Julie argues that what Roto is doing now would also cause bad publicity. Roto reveals he had everyone who paid sign a contract that required to keep them a secret and even offered to change the kiss to a kiss on the cheek. Julie doesn't believe them, so Roto immediately tells the fans, a bunch of dark-skinned and muscled players, to keep this a secret or they would not receive an after-service, to which they agree, ignoring Julie's objections. As K.C. continues to cry, Julie decides they'll leave after, not caring if they reveal everything anymore. Roto is exasperated at their stubborn behavior while Ah-Dol regrets being a part of this, thanks to Boromir's debt. Roto reminds them that they are in the middle of the forest with hormone-driven boys and that if they left, that's their decision, but he wouldn't be responsible for whatever happened to them afterwards.

Trapped, K.C. was forced to give out 72 kisses and 91 hugs while Julie was forced to give out 80 kisses and 102 hugs before. By then, Gina and Jin-Mi's power was cut off, booting them offline, allowing them to escape.

Through this deception, they were able to find Dreymon and easily defeat him as well as make a profit

Arriving in Normal Town[]

Lotto debut

Roto's first appearance.

Roto and his friends log in and meet up in Normal Town, the capital of Luciferia. As they discuss what they should do, Roto freezes and is disconnected from the internet. Jang-Gun quickly rises from his bed to find his sister, Jang-Mi, on his computer. He quickly chastises her for using it since the net-terminal he uses takes up all of the cable's capacity, making multi-channels impossible. He suggests using dial-up, but she complains it's so slow, even though it's not her computer, to his chagrin. He lets her know it's frustrating getting kicked off like that, though she herself doesn't get why the game is fun since it makes her dizzy. Jang-Gun rhetorically asks if chatting with guys at night is fun and what their mother would think. Jang-Mi simply wishes her brother a good night as he logs back on. Back in the game, Roto finds himself in a bathroom. He receives a message from Ah-Dol to meet at the pub, frustrated at not saying which pub it is. When he arrives, he finds Boromir trash-talking about his size and messages Ah-Dol to relay a threat while Roto points his sword at Boromir's neck, making him apologize and submit. Roto reveals he found them quickly because of how predictable they were. After making fun of Boromir for not being able to taste alcohol for being a minor, they agree to go to the Sunken Dungeon.

Lotto and Rowe

Roto yelling at Row for killing a Gargoyle.

When they arrive, Roto and his team are initially skeptical since it appears no different than the dungeons at Easy Town, but because it was around their level they decide to head on in. They are interrupted at the entrance by two Swordsman players, Row and Michelle, mistaking them for beginners. They try to pretend to guide the trio around the Sunken Dungeon, but are ignored as they enter. Row and Michelle follow trying to insist, but Ah-Dol quickly deduces that they died and lost their loot in the dungeon. With no recovery items and no money, they're hoping to join a party in order to get them back. Ah-Dol allows them to join, so long as they stay out of the way, with Michelle chastising Row. When they encounter a monster, Row kills it as a means to help the Triple Threat team, but was furiously reprimanded by Roto for taking his experience. He tells them that doing nothing is helping them and wants to leave them behind.

Lotto Double Fireball

Roto casting Double Fireball, about to go into a frenzy.

As they fight, Michelle notes that they are a Swordsman (Roto), Warrior (Boromir), and Mage (Ah-Dol). Row adds that it's a common party grouping since they can cover each other's weaknesses, but that they are not anything special individually. As they reach a split on the tunnels, a Minotaur approaches, the same monster that killed Row and Michelle. It manages to land a blow on Ah-Dol and breaks Roto's sword when he tries to attack. Row thinks they are defeated and resigns himself to attack the monster, despite their earlier objections but Boromir stops him. Row starts to object but Boromir confidently confirms they are not defeated and casts Cure on Ah-Dol allowing him to regain his strength and use Striking and continually punches the Minotaur. Michelle explains that Cure is an advanced healing spell and Row realizes Ah-Dol is a Monk, both amazed at how strong they are. Roto then chuckles evilly and begins casting a doubled Fireball. Row is shocked that he is a Mage. Boromir notices Roto is going crazy and tries to get Ah-Dol to stop him, but is angrily rebuffed. Before he can cast the spell, Roto is once again frozen and disconnected from the net. He finds his mother, smoking, and twirling the end of the computer power cable as his sister is sleeping on the keyboard. She deduces he was up all night gaming and tells him to wake up his sister and to go eat something. Roto wails about her turning off the power.

Black Werewolf Bug[]

Jang-Gun's two sides

Jang-Gun expressing his two personalities.

Some time later, as he rides the train, Jang-Gun is still sleep-deprived from gaming all night. He overhears two girls from his class, Yun-Jin and Seung-Mi, talking and switches to his honor student personality: vibrant, friendly, and holding an electronic study dictionary. Turns out they are on so early because they are on classroom duty. Seung-Mi advises not to study so hard since he seems to be doing so as they go to school. Yun-Jin is impressed with his ethic and how he's not a net addict like the others, though wishes they could chat online too, straying into another conversation with Seung-Mi. Jang-Gun, internally, is annoyed that she equates chatting to being online, only seeing it as a means to hook up, but keeps his good boy appearance up.

Lotto inquisitive

Jang-Gun feeling bored of Lost Saga...

When he arrives in class, Kwan-Su and Woon-Suk greet him to find him studying on his terminal. Woon-Suk however presses a button that switches from a dictionary to a Lost Saga game map, the Photon Dungeon, much to Woon-Suk's and Kwan-Su's amusement. Jang-Gun complains about being sleepy. Woon-Suk suggests control his playing or using Sleep Mode since he seems addicted, but Jang-Gun refuses saying he loses feeling that way, making it harder to play. Woon-Suk then asks when he sleeps. Kwan-Su answers to just sleep at school and tells them to wake them up at lunchtime. Jang-Gun states he's not like Kwan-Su and that Lost Saga is starting to get boring, contemplating playing a different game. Woon-Suk also wonder if there's an MMORPG they haven't played yet. Jang-Gun continues saying he changed classes for something different, but reverts to his original class when he gets angry making the whole thing pointless. Woon-Suk then passes along the news he heard about Lost Saga getting an expansion update soon. Jang-Gun asks when it will be released. Woon-Suk explains there's no release date but that the servers have been unstable, which he suspects is things being tested out. He further explains that the servers are going to handles twice as many members, at least 5 different countries to explore, and that Master classes will get their maximum levels increased. Jang-Gun is impressed and remarks that Dexon, Inc. must be making a lot of money. Woon-Suk thinks it's more than that since there's a rumor the company is merging with Mega Entertainment and that they received enough offers from 3rd parties to revamp the gameplay. This news excites Jang-Gun and Woon-Suk shows him the site.

Lotto invigorated

...but is reinvigorated after hearing news of an update!!

Yun-Jin enters the classroom and greets Woon-Suk and Jang-Gun as Jang-Gun quickly switches back to his study site. Yun-Ji looks over his screen and commends him for preparing for today's lesson, though Woon-Suk missed this change. Jang-Gun asks what she wants and Yun-Jin asks Jang-Gun to help her carry the water kettle for her when it gets full, blushing. Jang-Gun politely refuses with the excuse that he's busy and Kwan-Su quickly stands up. Yun-Jin nervously greets him and Kwan-Su returns his greeting, calling her "Cute Yun-Jin." Thinking he's acting like a shounen hero, he offers to carry the kettle for her, dragging an objecting Yun-Jin along the way. Jang-Gun says by, relieved that "the annoying girl" is gone so he can read the news site from earlier. Woon-Suk, disgusted, tells Jang-Gun to control himself, asking if that's the real Jang-Gun he sees on the net. Jang-Gun admits he doesn't know either, since the unique thing about the net is he can show another side of himself. That evening, back on Lost Saga, Roto pumps up the team to start the day (in-game time) in a lively way. They decide to go to the Photon Dungeon, like they always do. Roto, not paying attention, states he should Master his Swordsman class before the update and runs into Capri. Roto accuses him for not paying attention. Capri responds the it was Roto who wasn't paying attention, calling him a kid. This sets Roto off and he prepares to comically fight him. Capri candidly states he called a kid a kid. Ah-Dol, restraining Roto, agrees there is no problem. Roto starts to get upset at Ah-Dol, but Ah-Dol apologizes and tells him to bear with it. Two players, Stanker and Coen, overhear Roto's claim to class mastery and mock him for it. They approach Capri and Coen uses him as an example on how it would take him half a year to Master his Warrior class, even though he's Level 82. Stanker adds that only 10 players are Class Masters in Lost Saga and that they need to have 6,000 hours to reach the status, making it very hard to find any player that persistent. asks if they ever met a Class Master, to which they admit they only heard rumors around Normal City. Stanker relays The Fallen Angels, Julie and K.C., who are Master level Thieves. He then tells of Il-Ban, the Anti-Priest, known for his violent behavior who lives in the Dragonlands. He then tells of a player named Aradon, a silent Master Mage, who holds the record for becoming a Master in the shortest amount of time. He then reveals Roto, Ah-Dol, and Boromir. He explains they are arrogant players who have been around since the earliest beta stages of the game and are known for being able to completely balance their power. Finally, he reveals Basara, the mysterious Warrior, who lives up to his reputation as the greatest player in Lost Saga. Capri is impressed they have such knowledge, to which they admit they've been around a while despite their levels. Capri recalls he received help from a Level 50 Il-Ban back when Capri was a newbie. Coen and Stanker are in awe that he met Il-Ban and ask if he mentored Capri. Capri answers he paid back everything he owed. Roto, Ah-Dol, and Boromir decide to leave since it'll be too much trouble if they are discovered.

Lotto and Ahdol

Roto and Ah-Dol suspect server instability.

As they walk off, they come across an injured player who begs them to his friend who is trapped in a dungeon with an endless supply of monsters. Ah-Dol asks the player to calm down and explain himself. The player, distraught, explains they kept coming despite constantly killing them. They couldn't disconnect and even if they died, they would revive in the same spot, implying he barely escaped. Roto suspects it's an infinite spawn bug and Ah-Dol agrees. Capri arrives also voicing his suspicion the server has become unstable in the middle of upgrading and then asks where the dungeon is. The player objects saying the won't be able to fight them off with a few guys since they were very powerful, not just numerous. Capri rebuffs this saying other than Bosses, there's no monster he can't slay and the size of the mob doesn't matter, asking again. The player relents saying it's in the Photon Dungeon. Roto, Ah-Dol, and Boromir silently and awkwardly look at each other.

Lotto attacks

Roto attacks the Black Werewolf bug.

In the dungeon, Capri and the player are shown to be fighting the monsters and struggling. Tearfully, the player insists it's only a little further. Capri is surprised, not just by the excessive monster, but by the color and boss-like strength of the monsters. He calls over to Stanker and Coen, who are in a safe location, asking them to help think of a plan. However, Stanker refuses saying they don't stand a chance if even a Level 80+ player is having trouble. They then decide to take Capri's loot after he dies. Capri is enraged at their cowardice, threatening to kill them. Coen mocks Capri for doing something impossible as stopping an infinite spawn bug. Stanker admits there is actually way. He explains that originally monsters were programmed to only spawn if an existing monster disappears and says the infinite bug spawn creates additional monsters after a set amount of time, regardless if one has been killed or not. If they can block the spot where the monsters spawn, they'd be able to block the creation of additional monsters. Overhearing this, Roto then kicks Stanker off the ledge, getting him killed instantly by the monsters. Capri looks up to find Roto, Ah-Dol, and Boromir, with Boromir holding up Coen. Roto then greets Capri by praising him, to his surprise. Roto then notices they are new monsters and wonders if they are for the upgrade test. Ah-Dol notices they are Black Werewolves, but has no data on them and that they should be careful. Boromir interprets it as saying they don't need to hold back. Roto is excited since he was wondering if his skills have gotten rusty. Ah-Dol agrees it's a good opportunity to vent their accumulated stress and won't interfere with them this time. They then begin fighting. Roto then asks himself why he's getting so excited over the new monsters that are appearing soon.

Lotto going nuts

Roto rapid-firing Fireballs wildly.

During the fight, Roto burns Coen with his Fireball shooting him straight out of the dungeon. By the time the system debugger, Myriah, arrives, he and Ah-Dol are lost in their bloodlust as he tosses Fireballs wildly and savagely. He snaps out of it when Boromir alerts them that "Medusa" has arrived, running away with him and Ah-Dol. He asks why Myriah is even here, though Boromir snaps that he doesn't know and to continue running. Ah-Dol manages to locate an exit in the back of the dungeon, directing them there. Back in Normal Town, the trio stop and catch their breath having got away. Ah-Dol states they can finally rest. Boromir rhetorically asks why they had to run into Myriah there of all times. Roto doesn't know, lamenting on their bad luck. Ah-Dol wonders why they run away whenever they see her, causing Roto and Boromir to yell at him for forgetting. Boromir then yells at Roto why, also forgetting, with Roto yelling back, also not remembering. They look at each other and awkwardly start to ask Ah-Dol only for him to remind them he asked first. Ah-Dol concludes they all forgot as Roto and Boromir laugh awkwardly. He then considers asking her why, but Boromir and Roto adamantly refuse. Ah-Dol argues it feels weird to just run away. Boromir admits that it's true, but that somehow it wouldn't matter even if they knew the truth. Roto admits something about it bothers him. Ah-Dol dismisses the subject asking what they thought about the monsters instead. Boromir arrogantly states they were like gum compared to him. Roto wants to agree but admits they took a lot of damage and would have died multiple times if Boromir wasn't healing them and are running low on healing items. Boromir notices his mace's durability stat is almost 0. Roto adds the experience accumulated was too little for them, even though it is quite a lot normally. Ah-Dol agrees with their opinions.

Lotto satisfied

Roto feeling refreshed after the new experience.

Roto then dismisses it, happy for the new experience, unknowingly mirroring Myriah's sentiments about players. Ah-Dol agrees stating that when a game gets boring due to overcrowding, an expansion upgrade is always good for new players. Boromir admits he never really expected an upgrade. Ah-Dol suggests they go get the items they used replaced and Boromir reminds them he needs to get his mace fixed. Roto knows of a good store and offers to take them there.

Ah-Dol and Boromir are stunned seeing the rickety store with Piri adjusting it. Roto ignores this and urges them to go over with him. She looks over her shoulder and notices Roto, welcoming him. She tells him to wait a minute as she fixes the sign. Roto tells her to take her time and there's no rush. Ah-Dol and Boromir quickly understand the situation and deduce that Roto is into that kind of girl. Boromir then notices Piri is wearing a long skirt. He lecherously drops on all fours and skitters like a roach over so he can see under skirt. He starts to see her underwear, but Roto stomps on his face. Piri wonders what the sound is, but Roto says it's nothing and to continue what she's doing. Boromir yells at him asking if he's trying to kill him. Roto feigns ignorance weakly saying he thought it was a cockroach, not Boromir. As he and Boromir fight, Piri re-opens her shop.

Roto overhears Piri advising Ah-Dol to go to a larger store for more high-priced items and quickly states to just give them 500 Herbs. She asks if he already used the 500 herbs she sold him yesterday. Roto makes the excuse of doing a lot of hunting while covering Ah-Dol's mouth, making him not able to breathe. Boromir responds asking how that could last for two days and remarks the Herbs would used up if they restored his Max HP twice, causing Roto to punch him in the face quickly. Piri and Roto then make the transaction. Boromir then remembers the tooth he picked up, shoves Roto aside, and asks Piri to appraise it for him, believing it should be worth more than the teeth dropped by regular werewolves. However, because the item is not registered in the database or in the catalog, Piri doesn't recognize it and can't put a price on it. Boromir is disappointed, thinking it's just a rare item, but Myriah, appearing out of nowhere, explains that it will be worth 500 Gold once the new servers open up. Boromir gratefully thanks her and she returns the politeness, as Roto and Ah-Dol increase their distance. Boromir quickly realizes it's Medusa, to her ire. Myriah chastises them for trying to leak test items. Boromir then tells her to stop following them, because it's so annoying. Roto follows up asking her what they did wrong. Myriah is angrily asks if they don't remember. Roto confirms they don't and asks again what it could have been, infuriating her even more. Myriah doesn't find it funny and is furious they forgot what they did. Boromir nervously confesses they don't remember while Roto tries to recall, but fails. Myriah tells them it's something she doesn't want to remember, but that she'll tell them. Unfortunately, she also forgot and asks Piri what it was, though Piri doesn't know anything. Roto and Boromir turn the tables on her saying the victims should remember. Myriah almost does, but still doesn't.

The Player-Killing Mage[]

Some time later, Roto happily visits Piri's shop again, oblivious to his friends' frustrations. As Roto is talking, Piri happily notices a handsome mage coming up from behind him and greets him. As Piri converses with the mage, Roto angrily turns around wondering who would dare interrupt their time together. He first sees the mage's horse, frightening him momentarily. Roto then tries to confront the mage for butting in and then Piri asking who he is, but both soundly ignore him to his utter shock. Roto still attempts to try to get Piri's attention, but the mage, annoyed, calls Roto a "kid" and tells him to get lost. This causes Roto to snap and about to attack him, but is quickly knocked unconscious by Ah-Dol and then pummeled by Boromir, getting a bit of his blood on Ah-Dol's robe. They then drag Roto's unconscious body away, ready to go hunting.

Roto's body, dragged by Boromir, is then left aside the city guard as Ah-Dol and Boromir go to capture the mage they met earlier, who they suspect is the player killer the guards are looking for.

RotoArrives

Roto always tracks down his prey!

After he recovered, Roto tracked down Ah-Dol and Boromir and found them with Aradon. Boromir is happy to see him, which Roto responds he always tracks down his prey. He jumps down from the ledge and launches a Fireball at Boromir for beating on him and then abandoning him, to both Boromir and Aradon's surprise. He then looks up and notices Ah-Dol, although Aradon mistakenly believed Roto was glaring at him. Roto walks past Aradon, completely ignoring him and goes over to kick on Ah-Dol for starting everything.

Infuriated, Aradon calls him a little brat, angry that Roto was ignoring him. Setting Roto off, Roto rhetorically asks in fury if he was trying to piss him off, to which Aradon returned that sentiment. However, before either of them attack, Roto asks Ah-Dol, unaware he is knocked out, why he is not restraining him like usual. Feeling underestimated even further, he proceeds to summon Sylphid, a wind spirit. Roto is unworried and begins casting his own summon spell, but Boromir berates him for summoning too late. Aradon completes his chant and Sylphid goes to attack Roto. While enduring the attack, Roto completes his spell, summoning Efreet, nullifying Sylphid's presence. Aradon realized he summoned Efreet specifically. Roto confirms this by explaining that Fire trumps Wind because it eats their oxygen as part of the basic principles of the 4 elements. Before Aradon could make his next move, Roto strikes him, confirming he's also a high-level Swordsman. However, Aradon unveils his cloak and reveals he's also a Swordsman, disarming Roto of his sword to his surprise. He asks if Roto has ever heard of "Aradon the Black." Roto says he doesn't, but quickly changes his mind, further irritating Aradon.

By this point, Ah-Dol had recovered (presumably by Boromir's healing) and recalled hearing about a Mage who became Master class in the shortest amount of time and is a famous PK Hunter. He states if he knew that was their opponent, he would have fought with all he had. Aradon realizes Paralysis wasn't enough for Boromir since he was a healer, concluding he should have finished him off first. Boromir challenges Aradon to Round 2, but Ah-Dol stops him, saying they all misunderstood something. He correctly deduces that because Aradon is a PK Hunter, he was going out to stop criminals. When Boromir asked about the dead body, Ah-Dol suspects it was the Mage in the wanted poster. Roto, not privy to any of this, asks what they are talking about with wanted criminals and such, only to be scared by Aradon's horse. Aradon confirms all of Ah-Dol's deductions. Ah-Dol asked why Aradon didn't just explain all this from the beginning. As he leaves, Aradon admits he was curious about Team Triple Threat's abilities. Roto then suddenly realizes Aradon was the same guy who was flirting with Piri, prompting Boromir to sarcastically not Roto's intelligence.

Revenge of the Fallen Angels[]

Roto Running

Roto noticing they are running in circles.

While walking through Normal Town, K.C. (disguised as a different player) ran up to Team Triple Threat to ask them to help her friend caught in a trap as a lie. Boromir immediately agreed, turning on his charm, but Roto refused telling Boromir to go by himself. She offered a money reward, which Roto and Ah-Dol accepted, taking her money on the spot. They follow her outside of town and begin notice they are running in circles. K.C. uses Silent Step to avoid the pitfall trap as she runs and Ah-Dol. realizing the situation tries to warn Roto and Boromir to stop running. Unfortunately, they are too late and fall into the pit. Roto is knocked out and Boromir falls on him, breaking his fall. Later, Ah-Dol also is kicked into the pit, falling onto Roto's knocked out body.

When he came to, Roto realized he was in a pit with Boromir and Ah-Dol. While he was still trying to make sense of things, he couldn't resist faking amnesia for a second to make fun of Boromir. Ah-Dol confirms Roto must be fine if he's talking like that and Roto pieces together what happened along with Boromir and Ah-Dol filling in the blanks. It turns out they are targeted by the Lovely Angels for something they did in the past, though none of them remember who they are or what they did. Roto is outraged they were abandoned in the pit, wondering what they did to be treated like this. Boromir agrees, however Ah-Dol is convinced they've done lots of things to piss people off. Roto then is surprised they aren't trying to leave and attempts to Teleport out, but Boromir tries to stop him. Rito smashes into an invisible barrier and crashes back down into the pit, as Boromir expected. Ah-Dol points out the invisible barrier, so Roto decides to destroy it with magic, again Boromir trying to stop him, only for his Fireballs to bounce back at the team, hitting Boromir as he states it reflects magic as well. Frustrated, Roto asks if they can just log out, but Ah-Dol confirms they would only be back in the pit when they reconnect. Roto then gets an idea to ask for outside help.

Help

Jang-Gun and Woon-Suk asking Moebius for help.

Back at their school, Jang-Gun and Woon-Suk asks a sunbae of theirs to help them get out of the trap. Condescendingly, Moebius agrees, saying it's a pro's duty to help new players, clearly unaware of who they are. Jang-Gun is annoyed with his cocky attitude, but Woon-Suk reminds him the barrier is not anyone can remove it and that Moebius is actually supposed to be pretty good. Moebius agrees to do it for 200 Gold, but Jang-Gun and Woon-Suk decide to try someone else, forcing him to drop his price to 150 Gold and then 100 Gold in desperation.

Back in Lost Saga, Moebius was defeated swiftly by Julie and K.C. who were coincidentally passing by. K.C. calls down and asks if they remember what they did yet. Ah-Dol responds that they all have pretty poor memories and Boromir threatening them once they are out. Unafraid, K.C. makes a face taunting that they can't get out. Julie thinks they should stay in there a few more days to regain their senses. Roto calls out calmly that even if it's a game, holding them for this long is considered a criminal act and that all he needs to do is report to the System Operator, wondering how they'd respond to this situation. K.C. and Julie grow quiet and concerned.

Myriah

Myriah to the....rescue?

The System Operator responds to a report about a criminal act being done by the Fallen Angels. Unseen, they chastise Julie and K.C. for their lack of decency, asking why they would do something like this. K.C. apologizes and Julie confesses she has nothing to say. They continue saying they were lucky it was them who arrived and not the person in charge or they would have been in big trouble. Down below, Roto and Boromir are enjoying the Angels getting chewed out. The Operator then calls down asking if they were ok down there. Boromir and Roto confirm they are fine and ask to be released. It's here that Myriah is revealed to be the System Operator and the players trapped were Team Triple Threat, to their horror. Instead, Myriah congratulates them on a good job, ignoring Roto and Boromir calling for her. K.C. asks if they did something to her too. Julie suspects they probably don't remember what they did to her as well, prompting Myriah to state Triple Threat needs to die. K.C. respectfully asks what it is they did to her. However, because Myriah also forgot, she plays it off by scarily asking if they need to know, which the girls state they don't, startled. Myriah leaves stating she's busy so she has to go and will make sure no one passes by the area for a while. Julie sympathizes with her thinking her pain must be great. K.C. suggests they should leave for today and Julie agrees.

No Mercy

Roto will not show mercy

Later, Roto sighs and wonders if their only way out is if someone randomly passes by. Ah-Dol states it'll only work if the girls aren't around. Roto asks if he really can't remember who they are. Ah-Dol said if he did, they wouldn't still be sitting around like this and repeats their names, recalling the idol group were singers. Ah-Dol finally realizes who they are and Roto asks if he remembers. Ah-Dol answers it was around this month last year that they were hunting after a criminal, named Dreymon. Not knowing the Fallen Angels returned and are eavesdropping, Roto then remembers it was the one who liked singers. He recalled Dreymon wasn't strong, but was very good at hiding, giving them a hard time, prompting Roto to remember what happened as well. Ah-Dol asks if he remembers now and Roto laughs, recalling it was when they met the girls and used their help to lure him out. He continues saying they had no choice since he knew they wouldn't have helped them even if they explained themselves. He suspects they must feel bitter about it, even if they didn't mean it, admitting they did something despicable. K.C. turns to Julie, who began reconsidering her actions. Unexpectedly, Boromir emerged from the ground behind them. He admired the kneeled view of the girls from behind and pushes them into the pit before they could react. After they fall, Boromir calls down and playfully asks if they received his parcel, to which Roto confirms, playfully calling Boromir a mole. K.C. tries to apologize for the misunderstanding and Julie also agrees not to hold a grudge anymore. Unfortunately, Roto is not in a forgiving mood, asking if that's all they had to say. Ah-Dol admits even he is feeling angry. As Boromir waits above, bored, the girls scream as they face their wrath.

Hunting at Terror Terror[]

Just as Jang-Gun tries to log into Lost Saga, he receives a notice saying his subscription has expired and he needs to renew.

JaeHaFirst

Jang-Gun encounters Jae-Ha.

When he arrives at Woon-Ha's net café, he finds Woon-Ha appealing to a high profile customer about online call girls. Woon-Ha tries to ignore what happened and greets him, but Jang-Gun confirms the man is a client. Mischievously, he warns the president to be careful of the time and place he goes online so his family doesn't catch him getting hard off the conversations with the girls., to Woon-Ha's ire. The president awkwardly leaves hurriedly saying he'll come back another. Upset at losing a new customer, Woon-Ha asks what Jang-Gun wants. He answers that it's his birthday today. Woon-Ha understands it to mean he's here to renew his card. Jang-Gun is frustrated it always needs to happen on his birthday and asks if the nearby multi-scanner is free. Woon-Ha is unsure, aware it was being used earlier but believes it should be free since it's been over 30 minutes since then. Jang-Gun agrees, seeing the power is empty and enters, only to find a naked young woman inside.

The woman is clearly surprised but doesn't say anything. Jang-Gun is just as shocked. He realizes what he's doing and quickly shuts the door, falling backward from the experience. Unaware, Woon-Ha asks what Jang-Gun is doing and he tells him that there was a person inside after all. Woon-Ha then remembers that the bulb for that scanner burned out and he forgot to replace it, exasperating Jang-Gun. Calmly, she leaves the multi-scanner, fully-dressed, and walks by Jang-Gun casually. She goes to pay for her card, accidentally dropping her hacked Yureka ID card as she walks to the counter. Before she leaves, she looks back at Jang-Gun and smiles at him, unaware that she became interested in him. While he finds the fact she never got mad, yet smiled, odd, he continued to get scanned.

As he undresses in the scanner, he expresses his concerns about having to be naked to scan, thinking a person could set up a secret camera somewhere. He then recalled Jae-Ha's build, believing they are the same age despite her body. As he is being scanned, he looks down and saw he was having a physical reaction and panicked. Because he had to redo the scan, he had to pay for both scans. While he was waiting to calm down before the second scan, he noticed a dropped game ID card, named Yureka on it, suspecting the girl from before dropped it.

Back home, Roto is saddened that no one is home for his birthday until he notices his mom working in her room. Jang-Gun tells her to clear out the room sometime, but because she was wrapping up, she told him to shut up and not bother her. When Jang-Gun asks her what day it is today, she answers it's most likely her wrap-up day, the deadline. He tries again asking her if she was forgetting something. She thinks about it and realizes she is hungry and tells him to go fix something, clearly forgetting his birthday, to his annoyance. He leaves, feeling he understands why he's as messed up as he is.

Back in his room, frustrated, Roto decides to game on the net since it's a rest day. He also laments at the fact he hasn't grown at all over the past year, hoping he will next year. In his frustration, he inserts the wrong ID card and logs in.

YurekaJang

Jang-Gun became a woman?!

Jang-Gun arrives and apologizes for being late, though nobody recognizes him. It isn't until Boromir points out Jang-Gun's breasts that he looks down and sees that he is a woman. He is in a momentary state of shock before he urgently asks Piri for a mirror. Upon looking at his reflection, accidentally breaking it, he realizes he resembles the girl he met at the net café. Roto quickly recovers and pretends to be the girl, saying she mistook them for someone else. He then runs off while they are distracted.

Safely away, Jang-Gun takes a moment to recollect his thoughts and determines his appearance data is definitely from the woman he ran into before. He states this shouldn't be possible since a retina scan in the hardware should prevent anyone else's appearance data from being used. Putting all the pieces together, Jang-Gun realizes the ID is a hacked program.

Later, he then bumps into Ah-Dol and Boromir again, this time on purpose. Continuing to pretend to be someone else, he lies about having a disagreement with the previous party and asks to join them, deciding to have fun pretending to be someone else. Although Ah-Dol tries to politely refuse so he doesn't have to split the drops three ways, Boromir's lust causes him to knock Ah-Dol down and agree to let her join. Jang-Gun also offers to take only 10% of the drops since they let her join, to Ah-Dol's satisfaction, knowing it was what Ah-Dol was most worried about in the first place.

As they get to know each other, Jang-Gun lies by pretending to be a newbie. Ah-Dol and Boromir both assure they will protect her in the meantime. Boromir flirtatiously asks for her name and Jang-Gun quickly comes up with the name Yureka, from the name on the hacked ID he found. Because of the basic armor and single sword, Jang-Gun deduces the character he is using is a Swordswoman class. He also silently rebuffs Boromir's attempt at flirting with him, calling it greasy.

To his shock, they arrive at their destination: Terror Tower. He recalls they have tried many times and could never survive less than halfway up. When he voices that even several guilds working together got annihilated by it, Boromir assures him they can just escape if it gets too tough. He explains that he and Ah-Dol made it as high as the 18th level before and believes the top is possible for them. This stuns him since the three of them never made it past the 8th Level, and feels left behind as a result.

Inside on Level 12, he and Ah-Dol face off against a Zombie Dragon as Boromir fights his own enemies. Jang-Gun is surprised that Ah-Dol can use combine magic using Magic Fusion, a further example of how far Ah-Dol has come. Despite Ah-Dol's relentless attacks, the Zombie Dragon was still alive and he tried to warn Ah-Dol. At the same time, Boromir delivered the finishing blow, saving Ah-Dol. Jang-Gun asks about the monsters Boromir was fighting and Boromir tells him they're all 5 Death Knights were littered on the ground. Jang-Gun recalled it took 3 of them to cause the team to retreat. He then noticed armor under Boromir's robes. He revealed it was Orichalcum top-grade armor that allowed him to fight and heal at the same time, unlike before, and arrogantly states it helps he has a great body control too.

Jang-Gun starts to feel left out and wonders why Ah-Dol and Boromir have kept this a secret for so long. Ah-Dol notices Yureka is uneasy about something. He introduces Roto as magician and friend of theirs and how they have been playing since the beta of the game came out, making fun of his short stature. He then revealed that things changed for them when they fought Aradon; even though Boromir and Ah-Dol couldn't beat him, Roto was able to fight him to stalemate. Ah-Dol says it was due to their lack of skill, but Boromir tells Ah-Dol to tell what happened correctly, saying it was because they were unprepared. Ah-Dol brushes it off and concludes they don't want to fall behind him and hate being a burden.

KoinYureka

Koin appealing to Yureka.

They finally arrive at Level 18, the highest Ah-Dol and Boromir have reached, making Jang-Gun wonder what kind of monster caused them to retreat. When they arrive, they are greeted by a monster at the door. Koin greets Ah-Dol, Boromir, and Yureka when they arrive. Ah-Dol and Boromir don't recognize it since it wasn't there before. However, the goblin confirms he knows who they are from last time, addressing Ah-Dol and Boromir by name, but not recognizing Yureka, asking her name. Yureka starts to call herself Roto, but cuts herself off quickly saying she meant to say Yureka. She then intimidates the goblin saying she shouldn't have to say her name and asks who he is. The monster introduces himself as Koin, the guard of Terror Tower. Ah-Dol suspects he's either a goblin or maybe a gremlin. Boromir prepares to kill him, but Koin desperately tells them to stop, panicking. He begs them not to kill him since he doesn't give much experience and has almost no Gold. Ah-Dol translates that to mean the same thing as "I don't taste very good" to keep from being killed. Reluctantly, Boromir agrees that it sounds familiar, stopping his attack. Koin corrects himself saying he's more like a guide than a guard. Ah-Dol asks what they could possibly need guidance on. Koin simply states they just need to wait 5 minutes. Boromir suggests they kill it, Ah-Dol indifferent to the idea, and is about to do so until Koin quickly says it's because the 18th Floor Boss isn't ready yet and they need to wait 5 minutes, cowering. Boromir asks what the point in telling that is. Jang-Gun thinks it's because the boss character requires high quality graphics and a special AI. Because it takes time to load all that data, what they are experiencing is like a loading message. Koin sucks up to Yureka for that, though Jang-Gun angrily rebuffs him. Boromir doesn't recall anything like that last time, but Ah-Dol thinks there is some truth to that theory, adding that the server expansion problems would slow down data processing speed and that this place is no exception. Boromir asks if that's the case. At first Koin refuses to answer because he's a native to Lost Saga and knows nothing about any other worlds, but quickly agrees with Ah-Dol's theory after being threatened by Boromir's mace again. Ah-Dol relents and decides to wait and take a rest. Yureka agrees as well.

After 5 minutes, he thanks the group for their patience and allows them to enter. Boromir scoffs saying they were going to do that without him speaking, kicking Koin on the way in. Before they enter, Ah-Dol warns Yureka he may not be able to protect her this time, causing Jang-Gun to wonder what kind of monster could make even Ah-Dol say this.

As they enter, they hear hoofprints and are greeted by an unusual Centaur. He taunts the group saying they returned because they couldn't forget his beauty and came seeking him again. Ah-Dol reminds Boromir to not get beaten like last time, while Jang-Gun (Currently posing as Yureka) feels underwhelmed at who the enemy is. The Centaur goads them, saying he only fights them fair and square. Angered, Boromir ignores Ah-Dol's warnings and charges at the Centaur, swinging his mace, as the Centaur playfully taunts him for his fighting style.

The Centaur taunts Boromir and asks if he's just going to keep chasing him. It's at this time Ah-Dol surprise attacks the Centaur, revealing they both planned this. Unfortunately, due to Centaur's heightened hearing, he heard Ah-Dol's jump from earlier and was able to dodge his attack. Boromir tries to attack again, but the Centaur is able to deflect it and decides to go on the offensive, out of boredom and fires a few crossbow bolts at Ah-Dol. Jang-Gun confirms it's an archery attack, which has a low consecutive attack speed, and plans to attack between shots, until he notices the Centaur uses a crossbow, making it fire with great speed instead. He then notices Yureka and prepares to attack her. This was revealed to be a feint, as when Ah-Dol tries to use this chance to attack, he is shot by the bolts instead. Yureka tries to go to Ah-Dol, but Boromir stops her. He explains to her that the Centaur's most dreaded ability isn't his speed or attack power, but the fact he uses a special crossbow bolt that is infused with Confusion magic, something that as a spell wouldn't be an issue for a player with high magic resistance. However, because it's a physical attack, it's much different. He also admits that when he was hit last time, he almost killed Ah-Dol, to Jang-Gun's shock, thinking Boromir had surpassed Ah-Dol in strength. Boromir admits that he was instead killed and suffered a Game Over.

YurekasVoice

Jang-Gun hears a voice in his head.

Boromir tells Yureka to buy him time while he escapes, to his anger, but before he can react, he hears a voice warning him to dodge Ah-Dol's incoming attack. While he is relieved to have dodged, he wonders where that voice came from. He then sees Boromir knocked down by Ah-Dol and tries to go help him. Unable to dodge Ah-Dol's incoming attack, the mysterious voice tells Jang-Gun to lift Boromir's body up. He does so, using his body to block Ah-Dol's attack. The voice then instructs him to shove Boromir onto Ah-Dol, knocking them both down, and for him to step on Ah-Dol. Jang-Gun complies and asks what the next step is. The voice says to punch Ah-Dol, however Jang-Gun objects as his current class is not a brawler, but the voice insists. Jang-Gun finally does so and knocks out Ah-Dol in one hit. Jang-Gun is now surprised that the character is capable of knocking out Ah-Dol in one hit, but the voice interrupts telling him to tilt his head to the left, barely dodging a crossbow bolt.

Jang-Gun remembers the Centaur and does his best to avoid all his shots. The voice argues he needs to stop running. When Jang-Gun asks what to do, it simply tells him to close the distance and attack the Centaur, though Jang-Gun doesn't think he can. The voice reminds him that no harm has come to him so far. Trusting the voice, he agrees to follow its instructions. It tells him to watch the flight of the arrows, ignoring one and dodging another. As the voice instructs him, Jang-Gun is surprised he could actually see the arrow as well as how fast Yureka's body is. The Centaur is shocked that Yureka dodged them all. With the distance closed, Jang-Gun tries for a leaping attack, believing a feint would happen next, despite what the voice told him. He is then interrupted by Boromir's attack, who was hit with the arrow he was initially told to ignore. The Centaur reveals he shot Boromir as insurance, turning the fight into 3 versus 1, with Ah-Dol now awake. Even though the Centaur orders them to finish Yureka off, Ah-Dol insteads knocks out Boromir, to everyone's surprise, and the defeats the Centaur with his Gold Dragon Strike. Jang-Gun was happy to see Ah-Dol had recovered from the Confusion, however Ah-Dol revealed he was never afflicted in the first place and just pretended to be to trick the Centaur and believing in Yureka's abilities.

They re-encounter Koin on the 19th Level after beating the Centaur. As before, they decide to kill him to get him out of the way, but Koin panics and tells them they need to wait. When asked Boromir how long they need to wait, Koin lies and says it's three minutes this time. Before Boromir attempts to kill him after getting the information, Koin reveals his lie after what happened on the 18th Level. Jang-Gun finds it strange that there would still be data loading considering the time they spent on the 18th Level, since it should have normally been ready regardless. Boromir and Ah-Dol agree, killing Koin and going through the door. Inside, they find the monsters already slaughtered. Jang-Gun figures that another player is one step ahead of them, killing the monsters, which is why the floors needs time to reload. They quickly push on through to the next floor to find a player finishing off another monster.

Boromir, in his stupidity, mistakes him for the boss monster until Yureka corrects him. Ah-Dol was under the impression it was a group of players, not one and must have come in the tower before them. Ignoring the players behind him, the player uses his giant sword to strike the sword drop from the monster and determines his own weapon is still better. Yureka realizes he was using that sword to test new items while Boromir finds it rude the player has been ignoring them. The player walks past them, clearly ignoring them. Fed up, Boromir calls out to him asking who he is to make him so special. The player answers he is Basara and leaves. Yureka recognizes the name, but before they can talk about it further, Ah-Dol points out the monster had resurrected.

Busted

Is Jang-Gun exposed?!

When the team returns to Piri's shop, they ask her to appraise a weapon they acquired at Terror Tower, called the Titan Ogre Scimitar. Relieved they survived, Ah-Dol thanks Yureka for her assistance. Jang-Gun plays it off as being lucky, but secretly noticed her abilities are much greater than what he imagined. When Piri concludes she is unable to buy it, they assume to mean it is worth nothing. Piri explains that's not the case, in that it was actually worth 700,000 gold; even if she sold everything in her shop, she still wouldn't have enough money to buy it. She adds that because that aren't many shops in the town that could buy it, it would actually be worth 1 million if sold at an auction. This news shocks and delights both Jang-Gun and Boromir, due to their greed. Boromir then wonders how much Basara's sword would cost since it was superior to the Scimitar, but because of his lack of analytical thinking, he simply believes that sword is the reason he was able to tear through the tower. Yureka, however, concludes that Basara is the known strongest player in the game, hearing of rumors of a mysterious player that emerged from high level dungeons. Boromir and Ah-Dol finally voice their suspicions that Yureka is not actually a new player, due to her vast knowledge and her fighting abilities. Yureka then surprisingly points out Aradon is behind them. They both turn around to see Row instead. Using this distraction, he disappears out of sight around the shop. After they leave, Jang-Gun decides to take the opportunity to look into Yureka's skills, being more curious about her than his friends are. He is stunned to discover that all her Skills are 0 and all her stats are maxed at 999, meaning she only fights with brute force.

Jang- Gun returns to Woon-Ha's shop and asks if the girl ever returned, which Woon-Ha confirmed she didn't. When he asked him if she did anything suspicious, Woon-Ha states, while not really suspicious, she made copies of her ID card in case she lost one. Feeling mischievous, Jang-Gun decides he can continue playing with it since it's just a copy.

Yureka Appears[]

RotoYureka

Returning online the next day, Roto peers in the town fountain, feeling more at ease being back in his own body. Knocking some smack-talking players in it, he decides to go visit Piri's shop. When he arrives, he is greeted by his friends and Piri. Feigning ignorance, he asks if anything happened during his absence, but they pretend it was the same as always. At first, Roto is mad they didn't want him to know about Yureka, but then realizes it's because they didn't want him to know they were going to Terror Tower without him. He then suggests they go hunting, and they agree. Ah-Dol points out they had already done most of the dungeons already and suggests exploring farther out, but Roto instead says they should revisit Terror Tower. Although Boromir tries to dissuade him, Roto pretends it's out of revenge and pressures them into agreeing. Before they go, Boromir tries to stop him, this time to admit they added a new party member while he was gone, but had gone shopping. She reappears behind him just as Roto was asking who it was. He turns around and finds it's Yureka, to his great shock that she is there despite him being logged in. When Ah-Dol compliments her new look, he is also surprised the name he made up for her is being used. When Yureka asks Boromir who's behind him, he introduces her to Roto as a member of their group. Yureka then pretends it's their first meeting, greeting him normally. Roto then concludes that the reason that Yureka can be in front of him is because it's the girl he met from the net café.

At Terror Tower, muses over arriving at Terror Tower again, though is silently feeling guilty for coming here secretly yesterday. He then urges the team to begin, everyone pretending to not have entered before. Inside at Level 12, Roto imitates Ah-Dol's Magic Fusion and casts Fire Arrows at the Zombie Dragon. While Yureka praises his strength, both Boromir and Ah-Dol recognize as the same technique as Ah-Dol used yesterday. Roto reveals secretly that as long as he knows what to do, his magic is superior, plotting to use the same tactics they used from yesterday. He then singlehandedly cleared every floor until they reached the 18th Floor. Before Koin had a chance to ask who the new people were, Boromir smashed Koin into the door, killing him. He tries warn Roto about the monster, but Roto ignores him and opens the door, thinking Boromir was after the loot and is flown back from an attack from the Centaur within. Assumed to be inflicted with Confused, he gets up and prepares to attack as the Centaur appears behind the door, surrounding them. Ah-Dol tells Yureka to take on the Centaur since he and Boromir know Roto better. They then split up to their respective foes. Unfortunately, they are quickly defeated by Roto, who was never Confused in the first place. He tosses Boromir's unconscious body at the Centaur while dragging Ah-Dol's in his hand. He overhears her saying the fight would be different on her side to the Centaur and asks her why. He then concludes that after some thought, Yureka was not the girl he met and asks her who she is. Yureka smiles and tells him she is named Yureka because that's the name Roto gave her, as he created her.

RotovYureka

Roto vs. Yureka

Roto is confused by this wondering how it happened, but Yureka doesn't know either, comparing it to how a person can't remember when they were born, or even conceived, and was hoping he'd know. Because Roto tends to forget a lot, he gets angry and asks if she's calling him her father, which she laughs off with a joke. He asks, still angry, if she intends to tell him what's going on and she she will but he just needs to ask the right questions. At this point, the Centaur gets back up and tells them to take their lover's spat elsewhere. Yureka responds warmly that nobody was talking to him. As the Centaur threatens her, Roto kills him with a Fireball, saying the grown-ups are talking. Reaching his limit, he asks her one last time who she is, and she responds jokingly that her name is still Yureka. Finally snapped, Roto attacks Yureka with the intent of beating the information out of her. As he attacks, she continues to dodge him, while taunting his personality. Finally at his breaking point with her teasing, he engulfs himself in fire to prepare for his next attack. Yureka is genuinely concerned about him being in the flames. Hearing this, Roto discovers his answer and decides to test his theory in a cruel way. Pretending to charge at her in a rage, he leaves behind a trail of fire for her to fall into as she jumps over him. He reveals his Fire Trails spell, making it harder for her to dodge around and causing him to chase her. In her panic and fear of the fire, she tries to get Roto to stop by saying Ah-Dol and Boromir will die, but Roto doesn't care and that her max speed won't mean a thing if it's burning everywhere.

With the whole room burning, Roto loses sight of Yureka and calls out for her to show herself, though she refuses. While in hiding, she reminds him that he saw her stats and that low level magic like the fire wouldn't harm her. Roto agrees, but points out that she can still feel the flames of the fire itself, so he'll keep igniting them. He calls out for her again, tracking her by her voice, only this time she asks him to put out the fire first, but he refuses. As she continually begs him to turn off the flames, he continues to refuse until he finally finds her, crying in fear and pain. Roto finally relents and turns off his fire, revealing that he determined Yureka is not human, but an AI. He reasons that normal players feel pain as a tingling sensation, like if your foot falls asleep, since nobody wants to experience play a game feeling actual pain, like being torn apart by monsters. He asks again who she is, but she repeats that she is Yureka, to his annoyance. He then realizes the voice he heard from before and Yureka's voice are the same, confusing him further. She tries to change the subject that they're all just programs in the game in the end, but Roto doesn't let up. It's at this point that Boromir has already woken up and tells them to play nice. Boromir then makes the wrong deduction due to being ignored that she and Roto are dating, to his sorrow, as Ah-Dol, who also turned out to be awake, consoles him. Roto isn't worried about fooling Boromir, but wonders how much Ah-Dol knows, and asks him how much he heard. Ah-Dol admits the last thing he remembers was Roto taking him out, revealing he only just revived himself, also making fun of his height. Roto lets go of his frustration and continues to wonder about what Yureka really is, if she even knows, and why she's in the game as the others talk.

Jang Mi and Jang Gun

Jang-Gun's little sister. They have a normal sibling relationship. Though Jang-Gun can be rough, he cares about his little sister very much. Jang-Gun strongly disapproves of Jang-Mi talking to guys on chat rooms late at night as it is and also scolded her for talking back about their internet usage despite the fact she uses her brother's computer. Despite their differences, they respect each other's hobbies and are generally kind to each other.

Party Members[]

Ah-Dol (Woon-Suk)[]

One of Roto's closest friends and the scrapper of the group. Ah-Dol is something of the rational one of the team and is normally calm and level-headed. However, even his patience with Boromir and Roto has its limits. His anger is usually shown when his normally closed eyes are open and is surrounded by an intimidating aura. When this happens, he is not afraid to resort to violence in the game or the real world. Like Roto, he is not without a mean streak of his own, enjoying the thrill of battle.

Boromir (Kwan-Su)[]

One of Roto's closest friends and the healer of the group. Despite their friendship, they are constantly at odds because of Boromir's impulsiveness and Roto's short temper. However, because of Boromir's lecherous and self-absorbed personality, they are compatible friends that have faith in each other in the game. He is also one of the two people Jang-Gun can be his game-obsessed self around in the real world, not worried about what he may think. Boromir is very cowardly when situations turn serious, but even then he will not abandon his friends, making him a reliable comrade-in-arms.

Friends/Allies[]

Row[]

Lotto and Rowe

Roto does not generally get along with Row. When they first met, Roto considered him useless and in the way. Over time, Roto sees that Row is indeed very capable has come to rely on him for more serious situations. While it's uncertain if they consider each other friends, they trust each other enough to hold their end of a fight.

Piri[]

Piri is an NPC shopkeeper of a small item shop selling basic items. Roto has a one-sided crush on her due to his preference for older women. He is also very protective of her, shielding her from Boromir's lecherous behavior. He also gets easily jealous when she pays more attention to Aradon than him.

Julie (Jin-Ah)[]

K.C. (Jin-Mi)[]

Enemies[]

Aradon[]

Roto and Aradon are arch-rivals and generally do not like each other due to their many differences. Their personalities also clash causing them to get into arguments very quickly and itching to fight and find out once and for all who was the better fighter. Both Roto and Aradon believe the other is beneath them in terms of ability, despite they never finished a duel or defeated one another.

Myriah[]

Nicknamed by Triple Threat as "Medusa," she is one of the very few people Roto genuinely fears. However, he can't remember the reason he fears her.

Trivia[]

  • Jang-Gun's name (장군) translates as "General," like the military rank.
  • He admits to not knowing if his Jang-Gun persona or Roto persona is his true personality, leading to his true self a mystery
  • He has a violent Napoleon Complex, quickly being offended to anyone even implying his size by accident
  • It is unknown if "Roto" or "Lotto" is the truly correct translation for his name, since the "R" and "L" do not appear in the Korean language. However, the most common accepted translation has been "Roto" and will be referenced as such until an official statement from the writer states otherwise.
